Intricate body decoration using razors is celebrated for its beauty in Turkana. Yet, because razors are rarely sterilised, the ritual is also helping to promote HIV transmission among an already-vulnerable community. Merlin is training people in how best to sterilise their tools and teaching them the importance of not sharing razors.
